Duo-Lock™

Haimer Duo-Lock™ technology reduces the increasing costs of carbide tooling by delivering a modular interface for cutting tool heads, particularly in deep-reach applications with extensions and collets available in multiple sizes. Machinists can change the cutting tool heads directly in the machine tool with the highest repeatability on the Z-axis.

Safe-Lock™

If you want to take a high-performance cutting to a new level of productivity by eliminating scrap, damage to machines, and poor accuracy, the key is keeping the cutting tool firmly in place with the Haimer Safe-Lock™ system as the first toolholder engineered to overcome micro-creeping to enhance high-performance cutting (HPC).

  • Special clamping system that locks the milling cutter in place – allowing you to shorten conventional cycle times by at least 15% with up to 100% more metal removal capabilities and thus reducing machining costs
  • Patented design allows you to use the full cutting depth of your end mill without fear of losing control of it

Haimer's revolutionary patented Safe-Lock™ technology keeps the milling cutter safely secured in the tool holder through the form fit with the increasing accuracy of specialized high-performance tool holders and clamping systems, such as shrink-fit, high precision collet chucks, or hydraulic chucks. In addition, this cutting tool increases cutting depths up to 100%, dramatically increasing metal removal rates.

Haimer Mill Demo

The 42CrMo4 steel workpiece with the tensile strength of 720 N/mm2 is machined within 1 minute 41 seconds. All applications (ramping, drilling, trochoidal milling and slotting) were made by our 12mm dia. Universality is no problem for the Haimer Mill. The workpiece was clamped with a mechanical bench vise. The air was blown through the spindle nozzles during the milling operation for cooling.
