Awards and Recognition
At MSC, we’re constantly striving to be a responsible corporate citizen. We’re honored to be recognized for our efforts and achievements by leading industry organizations.
Founded on a Vision
MSC was founded in 1941 by Sid Jacobson, who began selling tools from the trunk of his car. Sid had a vision to build a business that strived for greatness, while also serving a greater purpose: to make the world a better place.
Today, MSC is a Fortune 1,000 company with more than $3 billion in annual revenue, but we’re still driven by those early principles. By focusing on community relations, corporate governance, diversity & inclusion and environment & sustainability, we deliver value to all of our stakeholders—associates, customers, owners, suppliers and communities, helping them realize their full potential and greater success.
Community Relations
MSC is committed to helping the communities where we do business by providing charitable contributions and in-kind donations, as well as volunteer work to build up the communities that we call home.
Corporate Governance
MSC’s corporate value system is based on integrity and trust at every level of the organization with policies and practices to ensure these principles.
Diversity & Inclusion
We’re committed to promoting a respectful, diverse, equitable workplace where all associates can thrive. We believe that everyone’s individual differences come together to make us stronger as a team, allowing us to better serve our customers.
Environment & Sustainability
MSC strives to minimize our environmental impact and maximize our sustainability through initiatives including energy efficiency, waste reduction and recycling, freight sustainability, and water conservation.
MSC Self-Certifies CMMC 2.0 Level Compliance
MSC has completed a self-certification audit for CMMC 2.0 Level Compliance, meeting at least 94 of the 110 controls and planning to address the rest by October 2023, ensuring security for sensitive information.
