With a wide range of versatile, confined space solutions, 3M has what you need to help ensure your team is protected for horizontal entry as well as vertical entry. With proper preparation, you'll be able to access with confidence.
One common solution for vertical entry is tripods. They're portable and quickly deployed. However, tripods cannot meet all entry configurations, like when openings are wider than the tripod legs.
For maximum versatility, a 3M DBI solid davit system adds a whole new level of capability. Like tripods, davit arms are portable, but the davit systems’ configurable design makes it a dependable, adaptable solution in more environments, whether temporary or permanent. And because davit systems are available as modular, you can build your system the way you want it. There are a variety of arms, masts and bases to match your specific needs, and they work with any 3M winches and a variety of 3M retrieval SRLs.
The configurable base system of davit arms provides the capability to perform retrievals, and they allow for easy rotation away from the entry point instead of the manual lifting that tripods require.
