Dear MSC Customer,
We recognize that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has created a great deal of uncertainty and anxiety surrounding the health and well-being of your employees and the continuity of your business. We share your concern and want to assure you that we remain committed to supporting you during these difficult times. I want to make you aware of a few actions that we have proactively taken to ensure we are able to continue to support you as a trusted partner:
Health & Safety: Like many organizations, the health and well-being of your associates and ours is always of utmost importance. Public health officials recommend minimizing contact with others as much as possible, so we have put a number of measures in place. We have banned all international and domestic air travel. We are restricting outside visitors to our facilities. And we are encouraging and enabling many of our associates to work remotely where possible, all with an eye toward maintaining normal business operations to support you.
Safety Products: The MSC team is working diligently with our supplier partners to expedite our orders of all Personal Protective Equipment and worker wellness products, such as respiratory protection, hand sanitizers and disinfectants. We have seen unprecedented spikes in demand, exhausting our normally robust inventory levels. As we receive product from our suppliers, please know that we are prioritizing government agencies that provide critical safety and security to the public, first responders and agencies providing vital services for the stability of the U.S. infrastructure. We are then filling orders for existing solutions customers and others where there are contractual obligations with inventory commitments.
Supply Chain Continuity: MSC has taken action to increase inventory levels and we are monitoring the situation with our suppliers to mitigate any potential disruptions. At this point, we have strong inventory levels of non-safety and worker-wellness products. At this time, we do not anticipate any issues within our supply chain. Should the need arise, we will work with our extensive supplier base and alternative sourcing partners and make every effort to maintain inventory levels to support your needs.
Ready to Serve You: Although it appears increasingly likely that our team members may not personally interact face-to-face with the usual frequency in the coming weeks, our team is ready to serve you.
