Extreme weather in any season brings with it unpredictability and the necessity to plan for emergencies. Portable systems offer an advantage when it becomes necessary to move about a facility to power down or disconnect critical equipment, retrieve sensitive documents, or guide employees through remote areas that lack adequate backup lighting. Emergency preparedness is a continual process. This is why Streamlight has created this Emergency Preparedness Guide to help you in identifying the most common flashlights used before, during and after a storm or natural disaster.
Common features of Streamlight’s Power Failure Systems:
“Smart” power failure circuitry automatically illuminates the light when power is lost
Rechargeable sealed lead acid battery
IPX4 water-resistant
Two of Streamlight's power failure systems are the E-SPOT® LITEBOX® and the E-FLOOD® LITEBOX®.
Streamlight offers cordless work light options that are used for easily getting into hard-to-see areas without the confines of a cord. The Portable Scene Light has a 90° swivel neck that aims the beam. The Portable Scene Light II features a 360° articulating head, zero deployment, and is waterproof. They both have LEDs which use less electricity, contain no mercury, run cool, emit virtually no UV/IR light and are one of the most energy efficient lamps available. The Waypoint is a pistol-grip spotlight that comes with an integrated stand for scene lighting.
The Siege X USB is a 2-in-1 lantern/flashlight combo with high, medium, and low settings and a red SOS. The Siege and the Super Siege offer 360° of light to illuminate a large area. All three are rated IPX7 waterproof.
